The Congressional Award Program has awarded Mary Kate Rose their prestigious Silver Medal Award and appoved her for their highest award, The Gold Medal. Mary-Kate is the 2005 recipient of The Gullickson-McGuire Memorial Scholarhip and was challenged to complete 400 hundred hours of volunteer work along with 200 hours of personal development and 200 hours of physical activity. She did all this while maintaining academic excellence at Moore Catholic and will be graduating in June 2009. An official ceremony will be planned for her to receive the Gold Medal from Congressman Michael McMahon. If that was not enough, Mary-Kate was also recently informed that she will be Miss Hibernia for 2009 for The Ancient Order of Hibernians.
