The Maverick Foundation is proud to annnounce that our 2006 Gullickson-McGuire Scholarship Recipient, Kathleen Brim, has been approved by The Congressional Award Foundation for their Bronze and Silver Medals. She has volunteered over 200 hours with the PS 6 Day Camp during the Summer and as a Swim Coach Assistant at Saint Joseph - Saint Thomas Scool. Kathleen, currently a Junior, is a member of the Moore Catholic Swim Team and a percussionist with the Moore Catholic Performing Arts Group. In addition, Kathleen regularly works part time in the Saint Joseph - Saint Thomas Rectory and volunteers with The Alice Austin House as well.
Kathleen was required to perform numerous Expedition/Exploration Projects as part of The Congressional Award Program. She accomlished this at The Irish Hunger Memorial, Ellis Island, The Thomas Edison Museum, and Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown in Virginia.
Kathleen accomplished all this while maintaining academic excellence.
